All our footage for hardwood floors is counted four different times before it even goes into the box. So our focus is on giving the highest quality hardwood flooring possible. But to fill the boxes completely, we would have to add shorts. Although 10" to 21" flooring sometimes layer the easiest, we give as many longs as we can depending on the grade. Frankly, considering the appearance of hardwood flooring after it has been layered, the length is irrelevant. It will look the same. It is necessary to stagger your joints regardless of the length so that the flooring appears random and staggered.
Keeping this in mind, your box count will vary, but we actually send more flooring than your order. We do this just to help cover for small measurement miscalculations. Remember we are only a phone call away.
